Jane Kingsley-Smith is a Senior Lecturer at Roehampton University, London and a regular guest speaker at Shakespeare’s Globe. She studied for her PhD at the Shakespeare Institute, Stratford-upon-Avon, later published as a monograph entitled Shakespeare’s Drama of Exile (Palgrave, 2003). This research culminated in a book, Cupid in Early Modern Literature and Culture (Cambridge University Press, 2010). Jane is currently working on Shakespeare’s Sonnets.
